CATCH-point staff work as a team in all therapeutic and support programmes. Families will be involved with more than one therapist including one key therapist with whom to consult and direct any questions or concerns.

Initial Consultation

The aim of this consultation is to determine whether CATCH-point’s services are the most appropriate resource for the needs of the family, and to offer parents and support workers the opportunity to find out about the CATCH-point therapeutic model of adoptive family support. The consultation offers the parents and support professionals an opportunity to talk to a therapist about difficulties they would like to be addressed in therapy, and what they hope to achieve through a therapeutic programme. The therapist can explain how CATCH-point operates, what support services can be offered, and explain the parents’ role in the therapy sessions. This consultation will usually be held in CATCH-point premises.
